About Me
Hi, I’m Courtney.
I grew up on the east side of Indianapolis and was primarily raised by my grandma and my dad. They were central in my life and shaped how I show up in the world.
At the same time, I was influenced by many people and experiences around me. My family, my community, and the systems I grew up in all played a role in shaping my perspective and the path I’ve taken.
My early life included experiences with substance use in my family, but also a foundation of love, stability, and resilience that stayed with me. Those experiences continue to shape my empathy and my work in social services.
I earned my Associate Degree in Human Services from Ivy Tech, my Bachelor of Social Work and Certificate in Addictions from Indiana University East, and I’m currently pursuing my Master of Social Work.
My journey has been shaped by life experiences, motherhood, my education, and the work I’ve done helping others. June’s Nest became a place to reflect, learn from others, and keep growing into whoever I’m meant to be next.
